I remember your recommendation. The place we had stayed in was less than average, and this one looked a whole lot better. I am sure it was used.

So many of the places we were able to freely go to have been altered in the last 30 years:
Afghanistan, Iran, Iraq, Syria, Egypt, Pakistan, Nepal, Yugoslavia, Soviet Union,

Our time of travelling allowed us to see some pretty good stuff that is now off the travel aganda, and will be for many years.

Yugoslavia and Soviet Union have gone, and been replaced. Others are still going through their religion's version of hell.
