Firstly a name for the list, Gary Griffin. Last I heard he was a school principle in Darwin somewhere. Darcy passed on a mobile number which I left a message on but no reply.

Warren Jackson; He married a girl off one of his trips by the name of Robyn. Robyn is a New Zealand girl but we don't hold that against her. Last I knew of him he was running his own business from home. He did video capturing and movie editing. No children but 2 dogs. Robyn and Rabbit were on the committee for a dog obedience club. I had contact with him over a project that lasted 3 or 4 months. We would get together at his place 2 or 3 times a week, usually for 3 hours or so. I had not seen him for years until a mutual friend died and he appeared at his funeral. Rabbit, Fraser (Peter) met in Sydney back in 2006 to celebrate 30 years from when we first left Adelaide.

After we got back here to Adelaide I emailed him, sent both Xmas cards and Birthday cards but never heard back from him. I assume he is still where he was, doing what he was doing.

Hi Colin,

Last I heard, Brendan and Cregan (Di) Reid were as happy as larks, touring the USA in a motor home they dubbed "The Moth".

I was in touch with Bill Dear maybe a year ago now. He was staying with Mr Dick, looking for Hubert DeCleer, and I was able to put him on to him. I don't know what happened thereafter.

I asked after Bill Boundy at the reunion, and heard that he was back in the UK, but not doing so well - which is a pity, because he was a genuinely nice guy.

I would also like to know about what became of several others on your list.

Hi Col,

Just noticed the blog for the first time .Most of the names are after my time because I left for Penn overland and returned to Aus in late 76.Spent the last 2 and a half years touring Aus and have caught up with Fred Sparksman,Garry and Jan Mayer Hope to see Charlie  Rosewarne soon.Caught up with Keith Mclean in the states 4 or 5 years ago and am still in contact. Budgie and Schoey are in Sydney and caught up once a few years ago thru Fred.Will keep reading the blogs and see if anything rings a bell.

Keith where does Charlie now live? Leading up to the Reunion I tried to contact him. Last I knew of him, about 1980/1, he was living in the Adelaide Hills area. There are not too many Rosewarnes in the phone book. The 2 in Adelaide did not know of him and the 1 in Alice Springs had no connection either.

Charlie was going to unleash my future, giving me the opportunity to become financially independent by joining Amway.

Currently touring Australia in a Land-cruiser and Caravan, Grant after going into semi-retirement after a career in Pharmacy in NZ and now a consultant. Patricia, the mother of our 3 children is happy as being back on the road again.
