Haggis told me about the mongoose that used to travel under the dashboard and stay in his room at night.
On one trip had to make a late room change and a young married couple took Haggis' room.Haggis forgot to take the mongoose.
Everyone was awoken in the middle of the night by screams .
Haggis had to rescue his mongoose after it began to crawl up the leg of the young man trying to do
his best.

I heard that Haggis died too; I think it was over a decade ago now ...

One New Year's Eve, I think maybe at Mike Russell's place, we had the privilege of having a real haggis piped in by Haggis. If I remember correctly, he had made it as well.

That was the one and only time I have ever tasted that meal of offal, oatmeal and suet etc. Surprisingly for me at the time, it wasn't bad.

He was a top bloke.

Rocky,
After reading you story about Haggis and his mongoose, it made me realize where the phrase " I'm going to give the ferret a run" came from.

Looking at the map of Kathmandu brought back a lot of pleasant memmories.
Reminded me of Kukhri parties in Driver's alley. The waiter that we used to terrorise for more drinks, probably doubled his pay in tips.I think his name was Harry. Also the mechanic Sambu,Who reckoned he was related to the king.
White water rafting at the end of 1978,when Sundowners and Capricorn amalgamated.
